  Announcements:   -Students that are isolating at home are expected to complete the work posted in Google Classroom. If they don't, they will fall behind and it will be difficult to get caught up. -Ms. Fitz will come visit our class for our book exchange on Monday. If you would like to borrow new books, be sure to complete the form on Google Classroom this weekend.  -Physical Education will be help outside this year as we are trying to avoid big groups of students in the gym. Please make sure you send your child to school with their full snow suit, boots, mittens and toque in order to keep them safe and warm. -There will be a quiz in Social Studies on Monday. We have practiced and studied in class, but students were expected to bring their materials home to study. I will also have a little evaluation early next week to see where student are at with the multiplication and division concepts learned so far. -Students should read at home for a minimum of 15 minutes daily.  Announcements:   - I updated Power School with grades and comments this week. Please take a moment to look at your child's progress and let me know if you have any question. I will send the green evaluation folder at the end of the month so that you can see and review the evaluations with your child.  - Our FLA presentations on an organism of the wetlands will be next week. Please check your child's agenda for the date of their presentation. The good copy of the text along with the 3D creature are due on the day of the presentation. -Students should read at home for a minimum of 15 minutes daily. I would encourage them to alternate between French and English books. Reading daily helps improve reading skills, boosts vocabulary and literacy skills and improves writing skills. - This week, students need to practice their  multiplication tables of 4, 5, 6 at home. They should also learn the corresponding divisions at the same time. Ex: 5x8=40,  8x5=40,  40/5=8,  40/8=5. Pl

 Happy Friday!   Announcements: - I will update Power School with grades and comments this weekend. Please sign and return the green evaluation folder on Tuesday if not already done. - Students who did not finish their map of Canada will need to complete it at home next week. This is due on Friday, October 16. -Students should read at home for a minimum of 15 minutes daily. I would encourage them to alternate between French and English books.  Happy Friday! We worked hard and learned a lot in grade 5 this week! Announcements: -Evaluation folder was sent home. Please sign the yellow page, remove all assignments and return the folder with only the signed page. I will send the folder home monthly so you can see what your child has been working on and their progress throughout the year. -Some parents have been asking for supplementary activities, worksheets, websites, etc to help support their children in numeracy and literacy.  I will occasionally add a ''Supplementary Activities'' category in Google Classroom to offer learning activities that your child can work on should they require extra practice. -We will be starting a Science project and students are asked to bring any art supply they can find around the house: tissue paper, pipe cleaners, buttons, yarn, beads, etc. If they can have it for Monday, that would be great! I will have limited supplies available to students who don't have any. Thanks in adv
