The evaluation folder will be sent home next week. Please review the evaluations, sign the yellow page and return to school at your earliest convenience.

 ELA:

We will have a test on the vocabulary covered in Al Capone Does my Shirts. Students should review their vocabulary booklet and be able to explain the meaning of each word in their own words.

On Monday, November 30, the students will design a t-shirt with different elements from the book. To do this, they will have 2 options:

1) Bring a plain t-shirt and buy fabric markers or paint. They will also need to bring a piece of cardboard to place between the front and the back of the t-shirt to have a more steady surface to paint.

2) Design a paper t-shirt that I will provide for them.

Any student who would like to work on a real t-shirt need their material at school no later than Monday, November 30th.

The small size is available at Dollarama for $2. For students that choose not to purchase one, they will be able to complete the project on paper folders. I will provide them for the students. 3) Our francophone week will be help from March 8-11. Many activities will be offered to students to celebrate the French language and culture.  Happy Friday! We worked hard and learned a lot in grade 5 this week! Announcements: -Evaluation folder was sent home. Please sign the yellow page, remove all assignments and return the folder with only the signed page. I will send the folder home monthly so you can see what your child has been working on and their progress throughout the year. -Some parents have been asking for supplementary activities, worksheets, websites, etc to help support their children in numeracy and literacy.  I will occasionally add a ''Supplementary Activities'' category in Google Classroom to offer learning activities that your child can work on should they require extra practice. -We will be starting a Science project and students are asked to bring any art supply they can find around the house: tissue paper, pipe cleaners, buttons, yarn, beads, etc. If they can have it for Monday, that would be great! I will have limited supplies available to students who don't have any. Thanks in adv...

Bonjour! March 19: pyjama day French presentations next week. Make sure you are well prepared before your presentation date. We are starting building our houses in Science. A cardboard box is needed for Monday. Other materials needed could include but are not limited to: 2 D batteries, hot glue sticks, other rigid pieces of cardboard, electrical tape, aluminum foil, etc... Students need to bring an extra mask in their backpack. After playing outside, the mask becomes wet and it would be important that all students have a spare one available. Enjoy the weekend!
